Assessment of the bioavailability of rare earth …

01-01-2000 · The bioavailability of rare earth elements (REEs) in soils was evaluated, based on the combination of stone fractionation and multiple regression analysis. REEs in soils were partitioned by a sequential extraction procedure into water soluble (F(ws)), exchangeable (F(ec)), bound to carbonates (F(cb)), bound to organic matter (F(om)), bound to Fe–Mn oxides (F(fm)) and residual (F(rd)) fractions.

Chemical speciation and bioavailability of rare earth ...

Bioavailability of rare earth elements (REEs) in different en-vironments varies with change in ionic concentration and li-gands and decrease among dissolved species as in the order: free ion, organic or inorganic complexes (Sun et al. 2003; Borrego et al. 2012). It also depends on equilibrium and change when there is a disturbance in equilibrium.

17-02-2015 · Due to their distinct physicochemical properties, rare earth elements (REEs) are critical to high-tech and clean-energy industries; however, their bioavailability is still largely unexplored. In this paper, the bioavailability of several REEs has been carefully examined for the freshwater alga, Chlamydomonas reinhardtii.

Rare earth elements in plants - Biologia Plantarum

et al. 2014).The bioavailability of compounds to plants represents one of the most important issues for environmental studies. Studies have indicated the importance of speciation and complexing REE with various ligands under different pH. Rare earth elements complexation with carbonate ions predominates in …

Contents and bioavailability of rare earth elements …

Generally, bioavailability of REE had significant correlations between clay contents and Fe and Mn oxides for the majority of REEs. Due to moderately high pH (CaCl 2 ) in soils (average 6.6) the mobile fraction for most of the elements was not detectible.
